Dear Devotee,
In the kaliyuga, Sri Guruvayurappan is
accepted as a saviour of Mankind. His compassion, benevolence and love for
his devotees are in no mean measure. To reach him, a devotee need not
undergo arduous penance or complicated ritualistic procedures. Undaunted
devotion or Bhakti akin to that of Poonthanam’s or Saranagati state adopted
by Melpathur or self actualization with Him at his lotus feet, as that
showed by Manjula is enough for us to get the blessings of Lord
Guruvayurappan .
To follow any one or more of the above
path, a devotee requires a place to practice, meditate and dwell on his
thought. A temple, therefore, assumes importance for such persuits and Shri
Guruvayurappan Bhakta Samaj, has been incessantly striving to build a full
fledged temple with poojas as per vaidic vidhis. The balalayam consecrated
on 2-2-2006 with adequate religious fervour under the able guidance of
Pottakuzhi Narayana Namboodiri and subsequent construction work which is
going on even now, is an attempt in that line, made by the Samaj.
The
Managing Committee of Shri Guruvayurappan Bhakta Samaj is pleased to inform
all the devotees that the 2nd phase construction of “Vashi Guruvayurappan
Temple” has commenced and is in full swing. The total estimated cost of
the project is Rs. One crore.
Concreting work has been completed for
the first and second floor and work for side wall and amenities are going
on. Simultaneously at the balalayam, poojas are going on regularly and the
flow of devotees thronging to worship, indicate the solace that they
are getting from this temple. Please reassure in your mind that this is
your temple and you desire to surrender at His lotus feet, leaving all
other things which are ephemeral.
The commissioning of this temple is a
dream project and your whole hearted support physically, financially and
morally is necessary in immense measure to accomplish this task. You can
