The second Prathistha
Day of the Vashi Vaikundam Temple will be celebrated during
the period from 2nd February 2012 to 9th
February 2012
(both
days inclusive) as a full-fledged festival with programmes
spanning a week, the first being the customary Flag hoisting
to mark the beginning of the celebrations on 4th
February 2010 and the last, the ceremonial hunting event,
the holy dip of utsava murthy and the lowering of the flag
on 9th February, 2012.
It is not out of place
to mention here that the positive energy and vibrations that
emanated from the deities has immensely benefited the
seekers of solace, as evinced from the feedback that we
received continuously
throughout the preceding year.
Conversely, the bhakti and prayers of devotees, the
ritualistic pujas regularly being done adhering strict to
vedic vidhis. The Namasankeerthanam and other
programmes like Sampoorna Narayaneeyam recital, Srimad
Bhagavatha Sapthaham, etc. have enhanced the power of the
deities multi-fold. To sustain the power, purification of
the temple from lapses like omissions and commissions of
devotees, priests, administrators, etc. is absolutely
necessary and this can be done during the Utsavam period. In
addition, during this annual event, the concerned Managing
committee and others actively involved in the temple affairs
can reassure their dedicated services and seek pardon, if
any, for omissions.
During the Prathistha
Day celebrations from 2nd February 2012
to 9th February 2012, there will be Maha Prasad distribution to all, for which materials like Rice, Jaggery,
Sugar, Coconut, Oil, Vegetables, etc. are required in large
quantities. Devotees who are desirous of contributing any of
the above items can purchase the same and deposit them at
the STORE HOUSE on 1st, 3rd, 5th,
7th and 8th of 2012. For further information on
this, kindly contact the Committee Members.
