KAALA CHAKRA PUJA

This special Puja which encompasses Homam (offering of holy materials to the sacrificial fire by chanting Mantras), Abhishekam (ablutions) and worship by offering flowers along with chanting of mantras, will be done throughout the day and up to 7:30 P.M. in the night. This Puja is mainly aimed at deriving some special boons to the devotees such as begetting suitable marriage alliances through mitigation of adverse effects of improper planetary positions, if any, in the Horoscope, marital harmony, long wedded life, atonement of the ill effects of sins committed in the previous birth, warding off harmful effects of bad periods mentioned in horoscopes, etc. It is discernible that many people undergo hardships in their life due to Karmadosha (committed sins) in their previous birth and the remedial measures suggested by scholars of yesteryears and Astrologers are Homam, Puja and Naama Sankeerthanam. But due to various reasons, people may not be able to undertake the above measures in their homes. Hence, the Managing committee has decided to launch Kaalachakra Puja, which is basically a comprehensive measure consisting of several procedures for the general benefit of all.

The  Puja starts before sunrise, wherein ablutions to various deities will be completed apart from Ashta Dravya Mahaganapathi Homam. Later Sukrutha (Gayatri) Homam, for world peace with Veda Parayanam will be performed followed by  Saparivara Puja and Navakaabhishekam to Lord Guruvayurappan till about 10:30 P.M. Pujas in Chakrabja Padmam to Kaalachakra – Panchavimshati thatwas – Mishadi Rasis – Dwadasadithyas – Satwa Raja Thamo Gunas – Krishna-Shukla Pakshadi thithis, keeping Lakshmi Narayana Murthi in the middle, are part of the Chakrabja Puja which commences at 3:00 P.M. and culminates with a Sarwaishairya Puja (Puja for all properity) at 6:00 P.M. Archana with Vivaha Suktham, Purusha Suktam,Sauram, Bhagya Suktham, Aayur Suktham, Saaraswatham along with Vishnu Sahasranamarchana with participation of devotees, form part of this Puja.

As the estimated cost of this Puja is around Rs. 50,000/- for a day and as it will be difficult for any one person to sponsor the cost, it was decided to keep per person contribution at Rs. 501/-, thereby ensuring maximum participation of devotees.
